On the evening of February 6, 2026, the Kimbell Art Museum and Fort Worth Sister Cities International welcomed the Year of the Horse with a Lunar New Year celebration in the museum's Renzo Piano Pavilion, where the Asian art collection is on view. The evening included art-making, an Asian art scavenger hunt, and live traditional music.

The Dallas Guzheng Association returned to the Kimbell to perform on the guzheng among the museum's galleries, bringing the sound of the instrument together with the artworks that inspired generations of Chinese musicians and artists.
